Sugna Steel Processing Plant is the biggest and fully automated, controlled by P.L.C. (Programmable Logical Controlled) with the capacity to produce 2.92 lakh metric tonne TMT per annum.
Sugna Rolling Mill is equipped with 15 stands, viz., one 3-Hi Stand and 14 others 2-Hi Continuous Stands with suitable AC and DC electrical drives. The plant has a Re-Heating Furnace with a capacity of producing 35 metric Tonnes per Hour and has a width of about 8 mtrs.
Sugna Metals Ltd., feels proud to be the only company in Telangana & Andhra Pradesh to feed hot metal billets up to 6 Mtrs. of Length.
In the TMT ((Thermo Mechanical Treatment) process, steel billets are heated in a fully automated and PLC controlled Re-Heating Furnace and are rolled through a sequence of stands that progressively reduces the billets to the final size and shape of the reinforcing bar. This treatment is followed by advanced quenching process, where the bar is subjected to the heating treatment to endow it with a unique combination of strength and ductility through three successive stages.
